Food is an emotion. My fond memories are always associated with food and this fondness was fostered when my grandmoms often made these mouth watering delicacies at home, finding it very irresistible for me to not devour it each time they made them! And this inspired me to create a collection as an ode to South Indian delicacies. This collection is titled as Aagaaram, which translates to food in tamil. For this collection I have chosen 4 delicacies: elaneer payasam, jigarthanda, rose sharbhat and kadalaimittai which are converted into prints. The silhouettes are breezy, fluid & relaxed forming the staples for a summer resort wear and are also incredibly versatile that they can be styled from brunch to an evening tea and are crafted with luxurious buttery soft fabrics.
